An almost native, Jim has been a resident of Talbot County for all but two months of his life. Growing up near St. Michaels and enjoying time spent on Oak Creek and the Miles River. Two favorite views; from the bridge over Oak Creek of the Miles River looking west into Eastern Bay; the second from Doc's Sunset Grill in Oxford, MD of the Tred Avon River looking south west toward the Choptank River. The Eastern Shore is truly a Special Place with many more similar scenery to enjoy!
Licensed in 2002, real estate is Jim's second career with plans to continue as long as the body and mind hold out. The opportunity to assist First Time Home Buyers find and purchase their First Home, assisting former Clients as they graduate to a New Home, introducing the Eastern Shore to folks with an interest in Relocating here either full or part time and not forgetting our Senior Citizens who may be ready to Downsize. Jim is ready to assist whether you are buying ~ selling or leasing, residential or commercial. This was truly the right second career choice.
During those prior years Jim enjoyed a successful thirty year career selling retail food and gas over the Eastern Shore of MD and VA along with southern DE. The desire to continue working with people but without the burden of employees, Jim earned his real estate license. With a background in business he brings a professional approach with attention to detail and a firm understanding for the meaning of Customer Service throughout and beyond your real estate transaction.
A Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) his primary focus is in Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester and Queen Anne Counties (the Mid Shore) but will work with Clients anywhere in Maryland. Involved with the Mid-Shore Board of Realtors, Jim served as Treasurer, served on the Finance, Membership and Affordable Housing committees and currently serves on the Government Affairs committee.
Community service is important and Jim currently serves as chairman of Easton's Affordable Housing Board, served on Talbot County's Workforce Housing Committee and volunteers with organizations like the Waterfowl Festival, Elks and Kiwanis.
Jim resides in Easton with his wife Patty, two great & grown sons, four wonderful grandchildren and enjoys having a sister and brother local as well. Working out of Benson and Mangold's 24 N Washington St office, Jim is ready and able to assist with all your real estate needs and desires!
